I have recently downloaded the app ‘Guidebook’ on my iPad to plan my conference visit to ISSOTL 2013 in Raleigh this week. The app provides the conference schedule, a map of the convention center, a list of presenters, a photo album, checklists, and, most important, the ability to create a personal conference schedule.
The organizers of ISSOTL used the web-based mobile app builder guidebook.com to deliver these features. As an attendee, all I had to do was download the general guidebook app and enter the conference code to get the specific event information. A great way to save paper: On the registration form I had the opportunity to opt out of receiving a printed program. I will carry my iPad around instead.
