Organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE), the annual, international conference ‘E-Learn’ takes place at varying locations in the US, Europe and Canada. The event regularly attracts over 1000 participants from all over the world. The audience includes K-12 teachers, university faculty members, researchers, software developers, instructional designers, administrators and multimedia authors.  From 2012-2014, I have the pleasure to serve on the executive committee of the conference together with fabulous colleagues. At this year’s conference, the committee has decided to try something new: To foster a sense of community among the conference attendees, E-Learn will launch three special interest groups. Together with Dr. Curtis P. Ho professor of Educational Technology at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, I am co-chairing the Special Interest Group on ‘Designing, Developing and Assessing E-Learning’ at the forthcoming AACE E-Learn conference in October 2013.
